The proposed changes to this route negatively affect my community. Reserve’s residents, businesses and civic function will with 100% certainty face increased hardships due to the near total loss of transit service.
In many areas Reserve Township lacks safe or reasonable pedestrian access to outlying bus routes. The climb into higher elevations can be insurmountable for people with physical restrictions to sustained vigorous activity.
Access to employment, healthcare and essential services will be lost to the residents who rely most on public transit.
Without public transit Reserve will become a Food Desert for residents who are unable to drive or lack the means to obtain regular home delivery.
In dangerous inclement weather our buses are our safest and most reliable means of travel.
Perhaps modification or exclusion of one of the 9 new routs being proposed would allow for retention of this current route.
Please work with our community and its leadership to maintain the current route system or the implementation of our
forthcoming proposals regarding the Bus Line Refresh.
